Volatile Organic Compound


these are organic [carbon based] compounds that vaporize readily i.e. at low temperatures  and pressures such as room temperature and one atmosphere of pressure (20 degrees C or 68 degrees F and 14.7 psi or 1 atm)

volatile organic solid


an oxymoron as a compound will either be in a volatized or solid state. see also VS and VOC.

this is actually an oxymoron, which unfortunately "enjoys" some use. A substance is either in a solid or in a "volatized" state....

waste
normally Garbage; trash - material regarded or discarded as worthless, useless, unusable or unwanted.

does contain up to 60 percent organic material apt for anaerobic digestion.

not to be confused with manure - see definition of manure. Manure only becomes waste when it is discarded as either worthless, useless, unusable or unwanted.
