many thanks to our sponsors. Their financial support helped make this conference a reality:
While the exact speaker sequence timetable is pending committee approval, there are a total of 24 presenters (final abstract submissions to follow tomorrow...) divided into two concurrent sessions on Saturday am and early pm, followed by three concurrent afternoon interactive discussion groups divided into agriculture, technology and finance respectively. Discussion groups will be chaired by morning presenters. Results of the discussion groups will be presented on Sunday morning.
The Friday networking session and dinner will be held at the Rockhaven Motel & Convention Centre on Lansdowne West.
Attempting to accommodate all interests is certainly turning out to be a tremendous task.
Staff is now virtually working around the clock and while the ‘menus’ for Friday evening dinner and Sunday morning breakfast are yet to be written, we have finalized the Saturday conference speakers and moderators - with a few interesting additions.
Most notably: Terri Lang from Royal Bank of Canada will be joining us to present on how to finance anaerobic digesters taking into account standing offer contracts in the province of Ontario.
The speaker timetable will be out beginning of next week – we are attempting to come up with a schedule that would allow taking in ‘missed’ presentation topics in the afternoon discussion groups.
We would like to ask all those who have not sent in their registration yet, to please do so by fax [416-850-4427]; email or phone Marc @ 613 482-2082.
We are also happy to announce that both the Friday night dinner as well as Sunday morning breakfast is included for fully registered participants.
John Kikkert, president of the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario will be our dinner speaker on Friday night.
For those planning on attending Friday night only, please be aware that we need to know who you are – i.e. please let us know your particulars either by calling Marc, fax or email. The per person cost for Friday night only is $45.00 CDN. - dinner included.
In case you are still looking to book accomodation, you will find a very good selection of area B&Bs at www.festivalhost.com.
